for Canadian Occupational Therapists

Support, structure, and clinical grounding for OTs integrating psychotherapy into their practice.

As an Occupational Therapist qualified to perform the controlled act of psychotherapy, I offer supervision for Canadian OTs who want to deepen their clinical skills, expand their therapeutic lens, and feel more confident and grounded in their psychotherapy work.

Whether you’re practicing in mental health, primary care, rehab, pelvic health, chronic pain, or community settings, supervision provides the reflective space, clinical guidance, and structured support that allows your psychotherapy practice to grow with integrity and clarity.

Psychotherapy Supervision

Supervision with me is warm, collaborative, grounded in evidence, and deeply respectful of your scope, your strengths, and the clients you serve.

  • My supervisory lens is shaped by more than 15 years of psychotherapy experience across mental health, trauma, chronic pain, and pelvic health settings. I draw on:

    • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

    • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

    • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)

    • Motivational Interviewing (MI)

    • Trauma-informed principles

    • Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT)

    • Polyvagal theory, sensory processing + somatic approaches to nervous system regulation

    • Occupation-centred care

  • My role is to help you:

    • build confidence and competence delivering psychotherapy techniques

    • integrate nervous system-aware, somatic, and trauma-informed strategies

    • navigate complex cases with steadiness, sound clinical reasoning and ethical clarity

    • refine your case formulation and therapeutic presence

    • strengthen your ability to combine psychotherapeutic skills with OT’s unique functional lens

  • Supervision is ideal for OTs in Canada who are:

    • delivering psychotherapy as part of their regulated scope

    • seeking structured, COTO-aligned supervision hours

    • integrating ACT, CBT, PRT, polyvagal and trauma-informed strategies into practice

    • supporting clients with trauma, chronic pain, distressing physical symptoms, and emotional complexity

    • looking to blend psychotherapy with a functional OT lens

    • wanting help navigating the emotional and relational layers of therapeutic work

  • Supervision is a formal, ongoing, structured relationship, consistent with COTO expectations.

Together, we establish a learning plan that supports your development across:

    • therapeutic skills and modalities

    • ethical and professional practice

    • client conceptualization and treatment planning

    • reflective practice and therapeutic presence

    • integrating somatic, trauma-informed, and psychologically informed strategies

You’ll have space to explore cases, practice skills, reflect on challenges, and develop your clinical reasoning across modalities.

This is a space where you can develop your voice, sharpen your skills, and grow into your identity as an OT providing psychotherapy.

A Supportive and Grounded Space to Grow

My intention is to create a supervisory relationship that feels:

  • safe, non-judgmental, and collaborative

  • rooted in shared curiosity and integrity

  • aligned with your goals and learning style

  • focused on the well-being of both you and your clients

Your therapeutic presence matters. Your growth matters. And psychotherapy supervision should feel like a place where your full clinical identity is welcomed and supported.

Whether your goal is to build a pelvic health caseload, weave pelvic health conversations into everyday OT practice, navigate complex pain presentations, or integrate psychotherapeutic approaches into the work that you do, you’re in the right place.

This is a community for clinicians who want to grow with intention, stay grounded in their values, and feel supported in the work that matters most.

Take what serves you. Explore, learn, ask questions, stay curious.

I’m glad you’re here.
